McLeod Returns to T-Birds Roster
ALBUQUERQUE, NM, Feb. 19, 2010 – The Albuquerque Thunderbirds today announced the team has re-acquired Keith McLeod. McLeod fills a spot vacated by Kris Collins, who was waived due to injury.
McLeod has been inactive since Jan. 14. He has season averages of 18.8 ppg, 3.5 rpg, 6.4 apg and 1.8 spg through 11 games (10 starts).
"Having Keith back makes us that much stronger," said Thunderbirds head coach John Coffino. "He gives us veteran leadership and another go-to guy when we need it. What he brings to our team is immeasurable."
McLeod has appeared in 200 career NBA games, with 88 starts. He has a career NBA scoring average of 5.5 ppg, with a high of 7.8 ppg during the 2004-05 season with Utah. He played for the Minnesota Timberwolves, Utah Jazz, Golden State Warriors and Indiana Pacers after a stellar career at Bowling Green University.
The Thunderbirds will be in action tonight when the team visits the Utah Flash.
