 Honeybees Spotlight: Jennifer By: Hornets.com | July 28, 2011 Year as a Honeybee: Third. Previous dance experience: I danced one year in junior high school. That’s when I fell in love with dance! I then began to study dance at Javier’s Dance Studio in Slidell. From there I danced four years in high school, two years serving as a captain. I then spent my freshman year in college on Southern Misses dancing for the basketball team. I then minored in dance for four years. What I love about being a Honeybee: That you meet great people! You get to continue to live out your dream as a dancer with the entire city of New Orleans! I also love how Honeybees are so involved in the community because of the Hornets. What I love about dancing: It’s a great way to express yourself. You get to entertain and captivate people! It’s also a great and fun workout. What I love about New Orleans: It is a one-of-a-kind city! Great culture, people and food! I love the special events that are held every year throughout the city such as the Essence Music Festival and Mardi Gras! I couldn’t imagine being raised in a different atmosphere! What I love to do when I’m not performing with the Honeybees: Catch up on much-needed rest. No really I love going to the movies, shopping and eating at great restaurants with my teammates! I also enjoy visiting with my family, traveling, and even going on dates! |
